A magnitude-2.7 earthquake rattled the Rancho Palos Verdes area Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck at 11:13 a.m. at a depth of 5.2 miles, the USGS said. The magnitude was initially reported as a 2.9, but was later downgraded to 2.7.
