Girl Bitten by Rattlesnake Reunited With Rescuers

A 3-year-old girl bitten by a rattlesnake was reunited Saturday with the crew that rushed her to the hospital.

Olivia has been back with her family at home for weeks since her brush with a venomous snake on a Chino Hills trail as she hiked with her day care group, but it wasn't until Saturday morning when she and her family got to thank the crew who flew her to the hospital on April 18.

The reunion was at Cable Airport in Upland where Olivia met again with her rescuers in the helicopter.

Olivia was walking with her day care group on a trail on Soquel Canyon Road when a rattlesnake came out of nowhere and bit her left knee.

The paramedics rushed her to Loma Linda Hospital where she spent days in the hospital in critical condition.

She was able to go home after a few days, but her family remained grateful to the quick-thinking day care workers and heroic paramedics.
